Beautifully heavy and dense, the diya was cast using traditional sand-molding techniques. The central hollow core serves as the historic oil reservoir, feeding down into a narrow wick spout nestled directly beneath the bird's beak.

Today, it serves as an exquisite piece of boho-chic wall art or a fully functional statement candle holder. It mounts effortlessly flush to the wall via two integrated hanging holes on the wing plates.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. It features a gorgeous, naturally aged honey-gold patina with deep, darkened accents highlighting the intricate feather engravings. The interior cavity retains a light, authentic historic soot residue—adding wonderful character and proof of its past life and usage.
